Reports Configuration¶
Reports header logo¶
Each page of a report has a header, which can be changed to represent your company and laboratory.
By default, the CAMAG header is used:

You can use any image in JPEG, PNG or BMP format. The recommended size is 1890x236 pixels.
Reports page setup¶
Depending on your printer default paper size settings, you can choose to generate reports for A4 or Letter format.
Note
This is only the generated format, you can also change the size of paper when printing (see your printer options).
Reports Unicode font¶
The font used for the report only support the Latin writing system. If you enter text in another writing system (Arabic, Cyrillic, Hanzi…) in text fields (like Notes), the report will use a fallback font to display theses specific characters. The Windows font fallback isn’t active for some export formats, like PDF. Therefore, an adequate font for fallback should be selected here.
By default, the font fallback is Arial Unicode MS 1 . This font covers a lot of characters, but other fonts can be nicer for specific writing systems. If you often use one non-Latin writing system, you can use another font which is more adapted for your writing.
Warning
Using characters not supported by the fallback font will result in strange characters appearing in the report, at least for some export formats.
As Windows will automatically use a fallback font in this configuration view, a visual check is needed to be sure to have selected a correct font:
select the fallback font
enter some text in the writing system you want to use.
compare the result with the default font. If the specific characters are rendered the same, the selected font doesn’t support them: select another font. In the present case, with Arial Unicode MS selected, the rendering is different.
Warning
The selected font should be available on all machines on which visionCATS is running.
- 1
Arial Unicode MS is supplied with Microsoft Office. If you don’t have Office installed on the PC, you need to select another font, like Arial (supplied with Windows, but supports only a more limited set of characters).
Analysis/method report templates¶
If you have saved some templates from analyses, you will see the list here. You can edit or delete templates.
After selecting a template, its usage will be displayed on the right (if available), with the type of file and its path.
From the toolbar, you can do the following:
display only the unused templates
change name and/or description of the selected template
delete the selected template (enabled only if it is unused)
import a template in the system
export a template to file (to exchange with another system)
Comparison report templates¶
Similar to template for analysis/method but for comparison
