Main installation table¶
The table details the current visionCATS installation (see Architecture and Installation procedure):
Each line corresponds to an installation on a given machine identified by its fully qualified host name. Of course, there is always exactly one server.
The Client column refers to the installation of the visionCATS client application itself.
The HPTLC PRO Instrument Service and HPTLC Instrument Service columns refer to the installation of the Windows Services used to manage the corresponding instruments.
An empty cell means that the corresponding component was not installed.
The table also displays the current connection status and the ports used, which can be useful to troubleshoot connection problems.
Use the button to unregister a client installation in the license. Note that uninstalling visionCATS also unregisters the client automatically.
For example, in the previous capture, the first line corresponds to a full installation of the server. The second line corresponds to a default client installation, whereas the third line corresponds to an installation in advanced mode where the HPTLC Instrument Service has been explicitly excluded.
Note
In order to keep things simple, the connected instruments are not displayed in the table, but they are still included in the exported file ( button) in order to provide a full overview of the current installation. To see connected HPTLC PRO Modules or HPTLC instruments in visionCATS, refer to USB Ports or COM Ports respectively.
Important
If winCATS is started on the same machine as an Instrument Service, all instruments connected to it will be released, as soon as any running step is finished or aborted. Therefore, you will not be able to use these instruments from any visionCATS client. When winCATS is closed, the instruments will be available again in visionCATS.
