• Recommended:

  • 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) Intel Core i5 (i5-3xxx) or equivalent

  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R9 270

  • 8 Gbytes RAM

  • Windows 10 Pro (or Enterprise) 64-bit

  • True color 32bits, Full HD (or higher) monitor resolution with a Windows Aero theme enabled

  • 1 TByte Hard Drive (frequent user)

  • Mouse with a scroll wheel and 3 buttons

• Minimum:

Note

As complexes algorithms are computed on the graphic card, a middle range model will increase speed over an entry level card.

Warning

Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro graphic cards are not recommended

Warning

The graphic card must be compatible with DirectX 11 or above

Installation Drive

visionCATS can be installed by using:

• A visionCATS installation DVD inserted in a DVD reading device, or

• The visionCATS installer downloaded at http://www.camag.com/en/tlc_hptlc/products/software/new_visioncats.cfm

Communication ports

• 1x RS232 for each instrument to be connected.

• If more RS232 COM-ports are needed, use USB to RS232 adapter. 1

• 1x USB 2.0 or higher for USB to RS232 adapter.

• 1x USB 3.0 for TLC Visualizer 2.

• 1x 1394a FireWire® (6-pin connector) or 1x 1394 FireWire® (4-pin input with external power adapter and 6-pin output) for TLC Visualizer.

Supported operating systems

• Recommended:

  • Windows 10 Pro (or Enterprise) 64-bit

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 (visionCATS server only)

  Important

  On Windows Server 2012 R2, only the visionCATS server and the backup tool are supported. Do not install the instrument service or a client on it.

• Minimum:

  • Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Warning

32-bit Windows are not supported

Color quality

• Supported with a calibrated monitor (and printer if printing)

• Any laser or inkjet printer supported by the Operating System

For additional COM-ports a USB to 4-port RS232 adapter – CAMAG part number 958.0608 is recommended. The driver for this adapter can be found on the visionCATS Disk. Other adapters are not supported by CAMAG.
