As complexes algorithms are computed on the graphic card, a middle range model will increase speed over an entry level card.
Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro graphic cards are not tested and therefore not recommended
The graphic card must be compatible with DirectX 11 or above
HD resolution (1920 x 1080) at 150% scaling is not supported, many views would be cropped.
visionCATS can be installed by using:
A visionCATS installation DVD inserted in a DVD reading device, or
The visionCATS installer downloaded at https://www.camag.com/products/software#downloads
1x RS232 for each instrument to be connected.
If more RS232 COM-ports are needed, use USB to RS232 adapter. 1
1x USB 2.0 or higher for USB to RS232 adapter.
1x USB 2.0 or higher for HPTLC PRO.
1x USB 3.0 or higher for TLC Visualizer 2/3.
1x 1394a FireWire® (6-pin connector) or 1x 1394 FireWire® (4-pin input with external power adapter and 6-pin output) for TLC Visualizer.

32-bit Windows are not supported
On Windows Server, only the visionCATS server and the backup tool are supported. Do not install the instrument service or a client on it.
Windows Server Datacenter isn’t tested and therefore not supported.
Windows Server should always be installed with Desktop Experience
As a lot of data is transferred between server, clients and instrument services, the whole installation should be inside the same Local Area Network (LAN), with all nodes connected with Gigabit Ethernet (or better).
Installing part of the system on remote site isn’t supported.
Installing part of the system on the cloud (like Microsoft Azure) isn’t supported.
visionCATS server (as server only) can be installed on a virtual server, but it should be in the same LAN. Be aware of external firewall and other router rules which may block visionCATS communication.
